Associate Vice President of Strategic Insights & Partnership (Education)



The salary range for this position is at $150,000. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining salary; therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of other benefits and earned time off that vary depending on part-time or full-time status.

1. Job Summary:
The Associate Vice President of Strategic Insights & Partnerships will lead data transformation. Architect and scale modern data ecosystems to fuel innovation, drive business strategy and empower industry leading insights. Responsible for design and execution of market or consumer research to support key initiatives.
2. Essential Functions:
· Build understanding of participants based upon important demographics, behaviors, needs, and attitudes.
· Design and execute market, competitor, and consumer research to influence portfolio and investment strategy.
· Serve as contact for internal and external partners and identify the appropriate research method, data source and vendor/supplier to execute work.
· Build a high-performing data insights function; spanning architecture, analytics, and governance, while fostering a culture of innovation, curiosity, collaboration, growth, and continuous improvement.
· Lead the development of advanced analytics, dashboards, and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau) that turn data into actionable intelligence for business partners.
· Establish and enforce current data governance frameworks to ensure quality, compliance, and trust across all data assets.
· Partner with business leaders and clients to understand business needs, translate them into platforms, services, and solutions, and deliver measurable impact.
· Identify opportunities to incorporate AI into enterprise data strategy
· Key member of strategy and business development team, and independently lead special projects or partnerships such as Board retreat planning, brand licensing partnerships, etc.
3. Relationships:
This position reports to the Senior Vice President of Strategy and Marketing/CMO and Operations who reports to the President/CEO. The incumbent collaborates with executive team, branch and/or program leaders as well with the internal team and consultants, including design, construction, and legal specialists. The incumbent represents the Association to external partnerships, attorneys, vendors, and peer institutions.
4. Qualifications:
Required:
· Bachelor's Degree in Strategy, Planning, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
· Minimum of six (6) years of strategic planning, consumer insights, market research, or related experience.
· Ability to influence across all levels of the organization. You've led cross-functional teams and driven large-scale data initiatives with confidence and clarity.
· An ability to craft a compelling narrative around data and insights that makes them accessible and persuasive to senior leadership, stakeholders, or cross-functional partners.
· Evaluate risks based on data-driven insights and developing strategies to mitigate those risks.
· Ability to identify underlying causes of business problems through data and research rather than just surface-level symptoms.
· Ability to define and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure business performance and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
Preferred
· Master's degree
· Bi/multilingual

5. Work Conditions:
· Must be able to work on a computer for extended periods.
· Ability to travel to Association Headquarters, YMCA branches, camps or other locations
· Must be able to travel locally or nationally for meeting, training and events.
