JOB SUMMARY

The Leasing Manager is responsible for supporting and assisting the Community Manager in overseeing and managing the overall leasing performance of their community.   The Leasing Manager is to execute the community's marketing, leasing and renewal strategies to achieve occupancy, revenue and resident retention goals.  The Leasing Manager will perform all activities related to leasing to new residents, providing resident satisfaction through the term of the lease, and securing resident lease renewals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Community Manager in overseeing leasing and marketing efforts.
  • Greeting, qualifying, touring and closing prospects.
  • Proactively manage outreach and lead generation, converting leads into leases.  This includes interacting with neighborhood groups and community organizations.
  • Provide a professional, positive and engaging experience for prospects while touring the apartment homes and community.
  • Processing applications, leases and move-in paperwork.
  • Oversee the preparation of marketing material to include newsletters, market surveys and resident activities.
  • Uses property management software to track availability, record traffic and leasing activities, management resident and prospect data, and capture demographic information about existing and future residents.
  • Improve resident retention and assist with securing renewals from existing residents.
  • Walk tour route and show units to ensure they are up to Company's standards, perform spiff cleaning as necessary.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in property management as a Leasing Professional.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License (copy of valid license will be required for personnel file).
  • Strong operational background required.
  • YARDI or other property management software experience preferred.
  • Team player with excellent leadership, supervisory and analytical skills.
  • Must assist and/or work during onsite events as needed.
  • Self-motivated, responsible, accountable and mature, with a desire to excel and grow.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
