Provide exceptional customer service to our clients or claimants for multiple lines of business
Expedite the claims process and provide detailed claim notes on all calls
Transmit information/documents to insurance carriers and clients in a timely manner
Obtain claim number and adjuster information and provide to insureds
Document claim files and maintain control of work through diary system keeping accurate records of customer/carrier interactions
Keep producers abreast of any large loss claims
Update payments and reserve numbers as necessary.
Manage incoming claim mail and unrouted faxes
Mentor/Work closely with the Commercial Claims Coordinator
Other duties as required by management
Obeys all applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations relating to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
Minimum Required Skills and Competencies:
Ability to work in the Hampton Roads, VA area
High School Diploma
Strong prioritization and organizational skills
Detailed oriented
Other Preferred Skills:
Active Property & Casualty License
Experience as an Account Manager, Client Services Representative, or Claims
Working knowledge/proficiency with carrier websites
Prior experience filing claims, maintaining diary system, and managing mail
Physical Requirements:
Express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word via email and verbally
Exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, use your arms and legs, and sit most of the time
Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and preparing documentation
Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions
