IT Specialist - MD (Finance)

Compensation for this role: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)

Shift: On-site Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Summary:

The IT Specialist (Helpdesk) works under the close direction of senior personnel and provides front-line technical support to employees by responding to inquiries, diagnosing issues, and delivering effective solutions for computer hardware, software, and network problems. Acting as the first point of contact for IT-related concerns, this role ensures the timely resolution of technical issues and escalates more complex matters to senior IT staff when necessary. and possess a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Serve as the primary contact for user inquiries via phone, email, or ticketing system.
  • Diagnose and resolve basic hardware, software, and network problems.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and applications.
  • Assist with user account setup, password resets, and access management.
  • Document support requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
  • Escalate advanced technical issues to senior IT personnel as needed.
  • Perform routine system checks and preventive maintenance.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by communicating clearly and patiently with users.
  • Assist with the preparation of user and technical documentation.
  • Adhere to IT standard work processes and suggest improvements to policies and procedures.
  • Work in a safe manner following all departmental and plant safety rules. Reports any unsafe work conditions to the Safety Manager, supervisor, or management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Required:

  • Associate's degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-2 years of practical hands-on experience.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking principles.
  • Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.Must have English reading, writing and verbal communication skills sufficient to read, write, understand, and communicate the company's operating procedures and policies.

Physical Demands:

The employee must be able to sit for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours with periodic breaks. Employee may occasionally stand and/or walk, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Must be able to move throughout the office and manufacturing area, including between multiple buildings in an industrial campus setting, and talk/hear or otherwise communicate with employees, management, and others.
