Hewlett Packard Labs - Hardware Accelerators Using Novel CMOS/ReRAM Technology Post-doc (Architecture)
Job Description:
Hewlett Packard Enterprise advances the way people live and work. We bring together the brightest minds to create breakthrough technology solutions, helping our customers make their mark on the world.
Hewlett Packard Labs is committed to the fast and seamless transfer of advanced technologies into next generation products and solutions; enabling the delivery of advanced Hybrid IT and IoT solutions for our customers.
The Emerging Accelerators Team at Hewlett Packard Labs has an opening for a summer post-doc with a background in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, physics, or related fields. The researcher will investigate high-performance mixed-signal circuit designs (such as low-power ADC, DAC, TIA, PLL, LDO, and gain blocks) to combine CMOS and emerging ReRAM device technologies for computing applications and/or microarchitecture designs combining CMOS and emerging ReRAM device technologies and the hardware/software algorithm codesign for computing applications including network security, machine learning, neuromorphic computing, finite automata and other novel computational models.
The Post-doc will work in a team environment to design, tapeout, operate physical hardware platforms and/or simulate and investigate microarchitecture designs of hybrid CMOS/ReRAM systems tailored to exploit the energy and speed efficiencies in target novel modes of computation. The work can span a range of activities including the design and tape-out of prototype systems; invention of new circuits, devices or architectures to take advantage of physical hardware systems for acceleration of target computations; design of flexible accelerator microarchitectures and tile hierarchy; the design, fabrication and operation of prototype hardware systems; the operation of existing hardware platforms, and performance evaluations to competing systems using industrially relevant benchmarks.
