Position Summary

The ALL Family of Companies is seeking a Recruiter/Talent Acquisition Specialist to take responsibility for company-wide recruiting, coordinating new hire onboarding paperwork, and working with company leaders to ensure workforce staffing. This role also involves handline some compliance reporting and payroll for a few non-union branches.

Essential Functions 

Recruiting/Talent Acquisition Responsibilities

  • Works with leaders on open positions, posts job openings across Recruiting Gateway in HRIS System (UKGPro), and reviews candidate pool.
  • Conducts interviews and vetting of candidates to ensure they meet the minimum qualifications.
  • Assists in coordinating and scheduling candidate interviews with leaders.
  • Generates offer letters for selected candidates and assists in generating employment agreement for select positions.
  • Performs background checks, drug screens, and other pre-employment checks for selected candidates.
  • Launches onboarding paperwork through Recruiting Gateway in HRIS system (UKG Pro).
  • Administers E-Verify for all new hires.

Payroll Responsibilities

  • Administers processing of organization's payroll and collects payroll data to maintain accurate payroll records.
  • Handles processing of employee status changes, analyzes payroll and employee expenses, assures general ledger accounts are reconciled; creates on-going month-end, quarterly, and year-end organization reports.
  • Audits payroll information for accuracy.
  • Reconciles payroll deposits, tax withholdings, wage garnishments, and voluntary deductions.
  • Participates in problem solving and special projects within the Payroll Department.
  • Assures that payroll-related transactions are processed in compliance with external and internal policies.
  • Performs actions necessary to track and determine regular and overtime pay, and factors commission-based income or bonuses into an employee's salary.
  • Calculates and processes Federal and State tax and social security withholdings, union dues, and other deductions, insurance, benefits, pension/retirement, 401(k) contributions and company match, and profit sharing.
  • Reconciles errors and maintains payroll records.
  • Reviews and processes payroll adjustments, including paid time off.
  • Fields and responds to payroll inquiries and resolves discrepancies as required.
  • Maintains knowledge of rules and laws which govern the payroll administration practices.
  • Administer compensation, benefits and performance management systems.
  • Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, and helping resolve work-related problems.
  • Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates.
  • Analyze statistical data and reports to identify and determine causes of personnel problems and develop recommendations for improvement of organization's personnel policies and practices.
  • Provide terminated employees with assistance.

Reporting & Other Responsibilities

  • Creates an enhances formalized new hire orientation program.
  • Generates and enhances turnover reporting for leaders; develops turnover leader dashboards.
  • Compiles report data for monthly I-29 Ohio report.
  • Compiles and prepares submission for annual EEO-1 reporting.
  • Compiles and prepares submission for annual Vets 4212 reporting.
  • Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel and assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
  • Maintains related records with regards to records retention and confidentiality.
  • Ensures that programs are carried out in accordance with company's policies and procedures.
  • Analyzes and provides advice to supervisors and managers on methods and approaches.
  • Conducts research to determine the effectiveness of programs and policies.
  • May develop and propose improvement to policies, programs, and procedures to improve the effectiveness of human resources and operations.
  • Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the HRIS system.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
  • Maintains employee personnel files.
  • Supports HR team with additional duties and projects as needed.

Skills and Experience Requirements

  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems is required, preferably with UKGPro (formerly UltiPro). 
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to work 40 hours a week and overtime as needed.
  • Able to sit for longs periods of time.
  • Able to use phone, computer and other office equipment.
