Sr. Specialist, Procurement (Administrative)
The Procurement Specialist reports to the Associate Director of Procurement and is primarily responsible for providing category procurement and analytical support for the Procurement group including, ownership of the e-Procurement and ERP systems, oversight of front line supplier relationships, tracking, reporting and managing vendor performance. The Procurement Specialist will play an active role in process and system improvements within procurement and in collaboration with suppliers and internal customers, and interact with R&D, Clinical, Marketing and other business groups at all levels to insure compliance with financial control and reporting procedures. The Procurement Specialist is expected to act independently and solve routine problems with minimal amount of managerial assistance.
Physical Requirements
The physical requirements of the position generally include: standing, walking, sitting, using hands and fingers, reaching with hands and arms, talking and hearing. This position may require lifting up to 15 pounds occasionally. Generally work is performed in an office environment.
