Interim Chief Growth Officer (Sales)



The Interim Chief Growth Officer (CGO) will bring advanced expertise in driving revenue growth, client success, and strategic marketing within a software vendor environment serving Healthcare Payers. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in managing and scaling high-performing teams across the Sales, Client Success, and Marketing functions. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the strategic direction and overall performance of the Sales, Client Success, and Marketing teams.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and increase profitability.
  • Foster deep relationships with key healthcare payer organizations and industry partners, becoming a trusted advisor and growth partner.
  • Collaborate closely with product development and leadership teams to align product offerings with market demands and customer needs.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of client success programs that ensure customer satisfaction, retention, and advocacy.
  • Utilize market data, competitive analysis, and customer insights to continuously refine marketing strategies and sales approaches.
  • Establish clear OKR's, KPIs and performance metrics for Sales, Client Success, and Marketing teams, ensuring accountability and alignment with company objectives.
  • Lead, mentor and further develop a high performing team across Sales, Client Success, and Marketing, ensuring performance aligns with revenue targets using a lead-by-example approach. 
  • Represent MHK at industry conferences, trade shows, and thought leadership events, enhancing the company's brand and visibility.

Skill Requirements: 

  • 10+ years of senior leadership experience in Sales, Client Success, and Marketing within a software vendor serving Healthcare Payers.
  • Deep understanding of the Healthcare Payer industry, including market dynamics, key players, regulatory environments, and emerging trends and challenges.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving significant revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Proven ability to build, scale, and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional strategic planning, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation abilities. 
  • Experience working collaboratively with executive leadership to drive company-wide initiatives.
  • Proven ability to maintain/grow NPS scores and attain client testimonials to maximize customer satisfaction and retention, increase referrals, and ultimately drive sales growth.

Education/Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; MBA or related advanced degree preferred.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to travel nationally as necessary. 
  • The ideal candidate must be able to complete a background check or drug screen.
