Survey Instrument Tech (Engineering)

Set up a total station, a base set up, and network rovers and accurately gather survey data
Must be able to load CSV, TXT files, shape files, stake out files into a data collector for completion of survey work
Must be proficient in Microsoft Windows, Outlook, and Excel. Must know how to set up file folders and load work files to cloud servers
Know how to perform and set up field survey equipment for OPUS control point and submit the correct files to complete and get OPUS control point to NOAA
Perform a closed loop traverse, reduce the data, and run a trig level
Must be able to perform functions such as inverse, resection, stake a line, translate, and rotate coordinates in the field
Prelim and as-built pipeline experience
Must be able to read a recorded subdivision plat or a metes and bounds legal description
Be able to run a map check and list the map error of closure using said equipment
Must be able to locate property corners using a pin finder, recorded deed, or subdivision plat
Must be able to run line work
Must learn field codes specific to Transglobal Services, LLC
Responsible for cutting line
Must be able to calibrate a prism rod
Must make sure truck is fully equipped every day
All duties performed are to be carried out according to the safety of all personnel at the worksite and to efficiently perform the task

Requirements
Must be able to perform job duties in various terrains and climates
Ability to read instructions, plans, and specifications
Ability to engage in fieldwork for extended periods and occasionally under adverse weather conditions as necessitated by work assignments
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions and sketches
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with the Party Chief, other field personnel, and Transglobal Services, LLC team members
A high school diploma or equivalent is required
Land surveying experience a plus
Must be able to travel 75%.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Must have reliable transportation along with proof of valid driver's license and auto insurance
Supervisory Responsibility
In charge of team members such as Rod Man and/or Instrument Man
Physical Demands
To perform the essential functions of the job, incumbents may be required to perform moderately strenuous tasks, such as lifting and carrying instruments weighing up to 75 pounds over rough terrain. Incumbents may also be required to clear vegetation, dig holes, and pound stakes with hand tools.
