Brands Communication Coordinator (Agriculture)

Responsibilities

Northwest is seeking an experienced Communications Coordinator to create impact across our brands and support efforts that drive teammate engagement and brand growth. You may enjoy finding the “heart” of a story or have been told previously you can see a concept from all angles; you're who we're looking for in this role! You'll make a difference by supporting multiple project initiatives, internal communication efforts, teammate requests, content creation, our Good Deed Team, and more.

In this position, you will help to create internal and external ‘Customers for Life' by keeping the ‘why' and people first in all you do. At Northwest, we believe Valued people, Value people. To support our internal teammates, you will work across departments to proactively coordinate consistent, timely messaging, build communication plans, and support internal projects. To support our external customer, you will assist with digital content, press releases, and customer communication.

This role is unique in that you will support a variety of marketing communications initiatives across not only our core Northwest Exterminating brand, but also other divisions within our Mouse Family of Brands. Your day-to-day may include but is not limited to:

Internal Communications

  • Plan, edit, and write strategic communications across internal channels
  • Develop communication timelines and messaging and determine proper messaging channels for internal departments
  • Work closely with departments, managers, and local service centers to support consistent, timely communication
  • Support teammate initiatives with resources, talking points, and messaging
  • Support internal company requests and initiatives

External Communications

  • Develop digital content for ongoing stories, including the Northwest Good Deed Team, extraordinary teammates, internal initiatives, etc.
  • Assist with website copywriting, editing, etc.
  • Write and edit press releases
  • Develop and maintain company relationships to proactively release relevant information
  • Maintain list of media points of contact in all markets

Content Development

  • Support digital content efforts, such as blogs, social media copy, and website copy
  • Develop and maintain recurring internal newsletters
  • Assist with ongoing brand requests for customer communication pieces, including support of email campaigns, social campaigns, external newsletters, etc.

 Project Support

  • Support, lead, and assist ongoing project initiatives
  • Support connecting departments, initiatives, and projects together to ensure success
  • Assist with projects as needed

Miscellaneous

  • Assist with day-to-day marketing communications administrative tasks, not limited to reporting, inventory management, and invoicing 
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds

 

Additional

  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with internal and external customers to create "Customers for Life."
  • Support all team efforts to drive brand awareness, lead generation, and marketing communication projects of Northwest and all subsidiaries
  • Assist with Marketing Communications needs, including lead generation campaigns, brand awareness initiatives, and digital efforts
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to assist with brand management and marketing communciations of Northwest Exterminating



Ideal Candidate:

  • Must embody the Northwest Way and Culture.
  • Previous agency experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to think strategically/big picture
  • Self-motivated and enjoys working both on a team and independently
  • Quick learner who isn't afraid to ask questions, own their tasks, and develop the role
  • Experience developing presentations, including PowerPoint, Prezi, etc.
  • Superb organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to attend to multiple requests simultaneously and work in a deadline driven environment
  • Enjoys solving problems and consistently elevating their work
  • Able to pass a drug screen
  • Associates degree or two years college or technical school or equivalent in work experience

Qualifications

Experience:

  • 3+ years related experience within a Marketing Communications role preferred
  • Strong writing, editing, and communications skills for both internal and external readers, with experience developing press releases, website content, blogs, and webinars
  • Experience managing and delivering multiple projects simultaneously
