Senior HR Generalist (Finance)



SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

Supports Roper Pump by developing and administering policies, processes and programs in the areas of employee relations, employment law, employee communications, employee engagement, training, and company event support.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Formulates and recommends HR policies and processes. Determines and recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer and employee relationship.


  • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations and best practices, reviews policies and procedures to maintain compliance.


  • Maintains office oversight for personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.


  • Coordinates employee training in terminations, promotions, sexual harassment and other employment issues.


  • Performs routine tasks to administer and execute human resource programs including compensation, leave, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations. Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.


  • Administers company's HRMS system.


  • Represents organization at human resources related hearings and investigations.


  • Provides risk management oversight for injured employees who are covered under workers compensation insurance. Relates with insurance carrier to determine appropriate action to minimize insurance compensation costs.


  • Provides necessary HR education and materials to management and employees, including workshops, manuals, employee handbooks and standardized reports.


  • Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.


  • Administers new hire orientation and company-wide employee recognition programs.


  • Establishes and reports out on monthly metrics. Recommends procedures to address issues identified.


  • Supports the company's performance management process.


  • Supports the company's recruiting process


  • Other duties may be assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time on-site position. Normal office work days are Monday through Friday. This is not a remote position.

TRAVEL

5% Travel is anticipated.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree Required - from four-year college of university
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent business acumen, with demonstrated skills in process improvement.
  • Specialized training in legal compliance.
  • Experience in employee relations in a manufacturing environment.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR Certification preferred
  • Minimum 5 years' experience

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Possess ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of manager, clients, customers, and the general public.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
