Pediatric Cardiologist with Expertise in Preventive Cardiology (Finance)



Nemours Children's Health in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking a Pediatric Cardiologist with expertise in Preventive Cardiology to join our expanding team. This position offers the opportunity to practice at one of the Southeast's premier children's hospitals, serving a diverse patient population and focusing on the prevention, early detection, and management of cardiovascular risk factors in children and adolescents.
Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat congenital and acquired heart conditions in infants, children, and adolescents.
  • Provide comprehensive outpatient cardiology care with an emphasis on risk reduction, lifestyle modification, and preventive strategies for infants, children and adolescents.
  • Manage conditions such as hyperlipidemia and family history of early cardiovascular disease.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including nutritionists, exercise specialists, endocrinologists, and other pediatric subspecialists, to deliver coordinated, family-centered care.
  • Support the continued growth of the Nemours Cardiac Center at Wolfson Children's Hospital.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, care coordination, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Opportunities exist for involvement in community outreach, patient education, and program development to advance preventive cardiology efforts.
Qualifications
  • MD, DO, or international equivalent (MBBS, MBChB, etc.) from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics.
  • Demonstrated expertise or strong interest in Preventive Cardiology (additional fellowship training not required).
  • Eligible for an unrestricted Florida medical license.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care, collaboration, and advancing children's cardiovascular health.
