JOB SUMMARY

The Associate Shopper Marketing Manager reports to the Shopper Marketing Manager who oversees in-store programming of our Value, Popular and Premium portfolios. This Associate Shopper Marketing Manager will work closely with brand marketing and trade marketing to plan, build, and execute in-store marketing efforts for TWG's portfolio of best-selling, nationally distributed wine brands. This position can be based anywhere in the U.S. This position requires occasional travel to customers, Trade Development meetings and marketing meetings in Livermore, CA – approximately 20 – 30 nights per year.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Create, implement, and assess consumer-facing, in-store platforms to deliver and optimize business-building initiatives in key Retail and On-Premise accounts. Leverage equities inherent in existing products and layer in key shopper insights for ongoing in-store marketing plans and programs.
  • Confidently brief and lead consumer agencies to develop and execute brand building platforms. 
  • Successfully deliver AOP goals in an entrepreneurial spirit; appreciate an environment of resource limitations, cost control, fluid learning, prudent risk taking and limitless creativity.
  • Analyze data and turn it into actionable insights in order to provide reasons to believe in our programs and brands.
  • Assess industry opportunities and develop creative concepts to fit these opportunities. 
  • Effectively manage teams and multiple concurrent projects through the system. 
  • Convey a sense of urgency throughout project lifecycle and hold teams accountable for execution. 
  • Use Strong written and verbal communication skills along with the ability to listen and understand different perspectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred but not required.
  • 4+ years marketing experience, or MBA and 2+ years business experience. 
  • Strong grounding in CPG marketing best practices across the 4 Ps.
  • Prior knowledge and/or experience with wine, spirits, or consumer packaged goods.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (can create powerful marketing presentations for internal and external customers).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Position operates in a professional office environment.
  • Position includes travel to various industry and/or company events, up to 20% of the time.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, standing, and twisting.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. (a case of wine).

COMPENSATION

  • Hiring Salary Range Posted: $82,000 - $123,000.
  • Actual compensation will be based on factors such as experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities, education, and other position-related factors.
