The Director of Business Development serves as a partner to Anthology Field Operations in the identification, cultivation, and closure of strategic opportunities. This individual will represent Anthology Professional Services - specifically from the vantage point of the Professional Services Delivery - in ensuring that its value proposition, resource experience, implementation approach, and methodology are articulated in a responsive, timely, and intelligible way, during the sales cycle. Critically, the Director will also provide continuity and drive knowledge-transfer, as institutions move from prospect to client, and are handed off to Professional Services Delivery and Customer Experience teams for implementation.
The role requires a dynamic individual with a proven track record in educational technology, a restless drive for continuous improvement, and an understanding of the services and activities that support the effective use of technology to enhance learning. A successful candidate will understand how to nurture a portfolio of services, software, and activities through rigorous product management processes, have an ability to develop a clear vision and lead a team of specialists to execute the plan for the portfolio of offerings. The candidate should have an integrator-mindset, experience of leading high performing virtual teams and a keen interest of key global education themes.
