Interact with members and their office staff to provide service (i.e., answer telephone, fulfill requests, solve problems), in an effort to prove the value of membership in the organization. Perform membership responsibilities (maintain database, provide mailing labels/lists as required, process membership applications, prepare member-ship certificates, produce membership directories, produce dues invoices and process payment, assist in implementing recruitment campaigns). Assist meeting managers with seminar and meeting responsibilities (copying, faxing, mailings, assembling registrant/exhibitor packets and badges, calls to speakers/exhibitors, assist with telephone inquiries and/or registrations, and on-site staffing assistance when necessary). Assist association executive in finances (use proper cost centers for internal services such as telephone, fax, postage, copies, etc., process invoices for payment). Maintain organizational files and supplies, archive essential records annually. Work cooperatively with other departments within the Medical Society to achieve both departmental and organizational goals. Interact with member service specialist team to share ideas, identify solutions to problems, keep up with developments in the profession, and offer support and assistance to ensure that client member service needs are being met. Assist association executive in coordinating activities of the governing body and committees (arrange meetings or phone conferences, maintain board/committee lists, send notices, track attendees, compile and duplicate agenda materials, attend meetings). Upon approval of association executive, schedule and supervise temporary personnel for projects that are clerical in nature. Handle administrative aspects of special projects as requested by association executive for client organizations. Acts on the company culture by advocating with a supportive attitude, educating people while respecting them and their ideas, and navigating using active listening skills.
