Financial Project Administrator 1 (Finance)

Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a Project Administrator in our Houston, TX office to support project administration/financial project assistance for multiple project managers. The successful candidate must be interested in learning from Project Managers, must be well organized and professional, able to interface/communicate with internal team members on tasks and projects, able to meet multiple and simultaneous deadlines, and able to work both on teams and independently. Within the role, the successful candidate will also be asked to mentor junior staff.

This position provides a wide variety of administrative, financial and staff support services at a team level. The position performs multiple related tasks and applies administrative procedures to resolve problems which may be non-routine in nature.

Role accountabilities:

  • Financial management support of projects for multiple project managers and teams
  • Contract and subcontract management support for multiple project managers and teams

• Assist with:
  • Project setups in Oracle, budget monitoring, and project performance evaluations, project forecasting
  • Track and resolve financial issues for project teams, Invoicing support, tracking Accounts Receivable and unbilled with follow up to accounting and project managers as needed, financial support during project audits and project reviews
  • Preparation, tracking, communication, and obtaining purchase orders and subcontracts, monitor insurance requirements, receive/track work orders, new client and vendor setups and other administrative duties as needed
  • Be responsible for training, mentoring and professional development of junior staff, •work with internal operations managers and financial team and deliver/assist in managing small- to medium-sized projects or programs of work, ensuring appropriate use of resources to deliver the required scope of work within set deadlines

Qualifications & Experience:
  • 5 years' relevant experience, including management of small-sized projects
  • High School diploma or AS/BS degree along with equivalent work experience in finance or accounting
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required for this position

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $62,120 - $99,392

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
