If you are a Legal professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our St. Louis, Missouri location, you will primarily be responsible for providing support and legal analysis for the $6 billion Commercial and Residential Solutions platform legal team. You will will provide a full range of commercial support relating to reviewing, negotiating and drafting product sales, procurement, software licensing, confidentiality, service and development agreements. You will also work with intellectual property counsel to assist with trademark matters, including clearance, registration, monitoring and enforcement.
AS COUNSEL, YOU WILL:
Provide research and analysis on legal questions
Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including non-disclosure agreement and buy-sell agreements
Advise and assisting business units and personnel on commercial legal questions
Manager projects and organizing cross-functional teams to solve legal issues
Interface with foreign and domestic internal and external legal resources, including management of outside counsel
Assist in the formulation and implementation of strategies for process improvements
Assist with trademark matter

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Juris Doctorate
Preferred skills include experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a wide variety of agreements
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
Business acumen, obtained from education in business or finance, and/or relevant experience, preferred
0-2 years' experience performing legal analysis, research, and/or drafting/negotiating contracts
Admitted to practice in at least one state bar and eligible to practice as corporate counsel in the applicable state
Currently in good standing with the applicable state bar(s)
