Millwright III SFI SW- D team Days (Finance)

Days- D Team- Wednesday 12pm-6pm and Thursday-Saturday 6am-6pm

To plan, build, set up machinery, and/or fabricate metal products as necessary for the operation of Feed Ingredient Facilities.

ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accomplishes layout work plan for each project to include calculating materials and manpower as needed.
• Plan, build, set up machinery, install or remove machinery, fabricate, weld various metals as necessary.
• Acts as a trainer for other employees.

Participates as a member of the Team . Participates in ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs and policies; coordinates work to ensure B.E.S.T. practices with all team members. Attends appropriate team meetings. As a member of the Team, fosters strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues; e.g., direction, annual plan, budget, policy changes, etc. Accepts responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues and actively look for ways, and reinforces actions needed, to achieve synergy possible within the larger organization.

Simmons Operating systems principles and objectives: Is familiar with Simmons' established operating systems (e.g. quality, security, office environment, company policies); understands the responsibility to maintain familiarity with the systems and this position's role in support of these systems - including a consideration of the impact of individual actions on the systems and the responsibility to communicate concerns and improvement ideas.

Physical Activities: Ability to work in a wet, noisy, dusty, humid, hot or cold environment that has an unpleasant odor with noise levels above 90 decibels. Ability to walk and stand on feet for more than 8 hours per shift. Ability to climb 50 feet of stairs / fixed ladders once an hour. Ability to climb stairs / fixed ladders to height of 100 feet once per shift. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Frequent pulling, pushing and reaching. Requires frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting. Ability to enter confined spaces. Requires working on man lifts, scissor lifts, or ladders.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): F all arrest harness, hard hat, eye protection, hearing protection, safety foot wear, respirator. Welding apron, welding hood and gloves.

Travel: Could be requested to drive to other Simmons facilities in a 60 mile radius in company vehicle

Technical Experience: Must have stick welding carbon steel experience

Industry Experience: Experience in welding.

Minimum Education : Ability to Read, Write English, have basic math skills and be able to pass stick welding carbon steel test
