Primary responsibility is 'characterizing' substrates across a variety of products. Characterization includes, but not limited to, resistivity measurements, MPD measurements, x-ray analysis, laser marking, and Warp & Bow measurements. Characterization is to be performed on all (production and R&D) boules fabricated and submitted to characterization area. Employee is responsible for ensuring equipment is in calibration with standards measured and appropriate SPC in place. Actively supports R&D projects and commercial substrate manufacturing. Investigates and models experimental data to establish correlations and trends. E stablishes process reliability and "bottlenecks". Finds innovative solutions to technical problems that lead to the improved product quality, increased yields and throughput.
