SUD Services Training & Quality Specialist - LADC (Project Management)
We are seeking a full-time SUD Services Training & Quality Specialist to join our Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program. This position would have a combination of working from home and traveling to various NAL clinic locations.
General hours for this position are:
Monday - Friday: 8AM - 5PM
In this role, the SUD Services Training & Quality Specialist would be responsible for:
Clinical Services Compliance and Support
o Attend regular meetings with SUD Program Managers and Clinical Supervisors to identify and analyze clinical functions.
o Collaborates with SUD Program Managers and other applicable departments to develop policy, training, and implementation plans to resolve or improve clinical services and systemic operations.
o Presents, and may develop training, in areas including but not limited to: documentation, DSM-V, retention, billing, continuing clinical education, Standard of Care, SUD new employee training.
o Leads onboarding meetings with SUD providers, in areas including but not limited to: chart audits, patient retention, billing codes, policy & procedure, Standard of Care measures.
o Be involved in provider retention meetings to engage staff and maintain the clinical workforce.
o Analyzes information, and develops and facilitates response plans, to ensure optimal diagnosis and billing by, and scheduling for, outpatient providers.
o Attend/present as needed at monthly SUD Operations and program staff meetings.
o Assist the SUD Program Managers and Supervisors in the direction of clinical staff, including performance reviews, performance improvement, and personnel issues, as directed by the SUD Director.
o Regularly consult and act as a conduit between Quality Assurance, Quality Improvement, and SUD Management to identify and implement corrective action and training plans to address compliance and conduct.
o Act as default supervisor or director when needed for billing, credentialing, clinical supervision, clinical program oversight.
o Learn the Relias program as the overseer to keep up with training needs.
o Keeps the company drive in an organized, easy to access, intuitive outline.
o Provide new employee orientation to all new staff for SUD services.
o Teach staff how to use the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual Codes.
Quality Assurance/Improvement
o Captures, reviews, and analyzes statistical and outcome data to provide useful information for evaluating quality control measures and Evidence-Based practices.
o Investigate and resolve complaints and concerns reported by clinical staff, patients, or administration, with the SUD Management and HR as appropriate.
o Collaborate with SUD Management and Quality Assurance on the development and implementation of new policies and procedures for clinical staff as needed.
o Collaborate with Operations management, Patient Accounts Director, Human Resources, and program leadership on policies and procedures for systemic implementation and uniform compliance.
o Review current processes to identify redundancies and inefficiencies and develop an action plan to improve and review with Clinical Services Team.
o Coordinate with external agencies to better integrate and enhance patient care.
o Move staff to using the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) levels of care in their treatment recommendations.
Miscellaneous
o Attend all meetings as requested by the SUD Director.
o Be Involved in the development and implementation of new projects and systems as required.
o Assist in coordinating training, meetings, and support needs for clinical leadership.
o Management may assign duties, not identified in this position description.
