Nursing Program Specialist-Magnet and Nursing Excellence (Finance)



Description

Work Schedule:

1.0 FTE salaried position; This is a full-time position scheduled to typically work Monday through Friday, with core hours between 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, however some off hours or weekends may be required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will work at the Administrative Office Building in Middleton, WI with travel required to various local and regional locations as needed.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to

  • Coordinate the ongoing Magnet recognition initiative, including, assessment of enterprise readiness; formulation and implementation of improvement strategies to meet the Magnet criteria.
  • Review relevant research, other literature, and best practices related to programs and develop work plans for program design, implementation, evaluation and maintenance.
  • Collaborate on and support other selected professional practice advancement initiatives such as professional nursing clinical ladder.
  • Plan and implement educational programming related to the programs and projects.
  • Preferred candidates will have a master's degree or higher, strong programmatic experience, and experience with EBP, professional dissemination, project management, delivery of curriculum content as well as proficiency in presentation skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Required
  • Master's Degree Nursing, Business or related healthcare field. Four years of leadership experience may be considered in lieu of Master's Degree Required
  • Doctorate Degree DNP or PhD in Nursing Preferred

Work Experience

  • 3 years of recent nursing experience Required
  • If in Magnet, experience in developing professional practice, clinical advancement and Magnet recognition programing Preferred
  • Program or project management experience Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin or equivalency Upon Hire Required
  • Certification in area of specialty or eligible for certification Preferred
