Position Title:  Business Intelligence Data Analyst - 4E

Position Summary

The Analyst will be responsible for analyzing the company's strategic positioning and financial performance.  By leveraging analytics and collaborating with other teams, the analyst will develop analysis and insights that drive performance improvements. 

Essential Job Functions

  • Synthesize financial and non-financial data into relevant strategy insights
  • Create and maintain reporting tools & analysis to enable real time analytics and performance management.
  • Improves financial status by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends and recommending actions to management.
  • Create insights from analyzing & interpreting data and making comparative analyses.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to evaluate proposed capital investments and strategic initatives
  • Increases productivity by developing automated applications.
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with other company stakeholders to drive accomplishment of overall company goals and objectives.

Education/Certifications

  • BS in MIS, CS, Statistics, Business, Finance, or other quantitative discipline
  • MS or MBA not required, but would be a plus 

Experience/Minimum Requirements 

  • Two (2) years of experience in a financial analyst, strategy or analytics related position. 

Other Skills/Abilities

  • Experience with data querying languages (e.g. SQL)
  • Experience in CLI Scripting languages (e.g. Python, R, etc..)
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (e.g. Power BI, PowerApps, Common Data Service, Power Automate fka Flow)
  • Proficient with Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI or related
  • Superb data story telling skills; high business acumen and ability to turn data analysis into actionable insights
  • Strong ability to effectively and efficiently communicate financial results to management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build and maintain trusting relationships.
  • Understanding of the data sets that can be pulled from the system for reporting purposes.
  • Support experimentation as a way to find the best solution.
  • Ability to develop financial acumen to better understand economic and financial value drivers.

Working Conditions:  Works in a normal office setting with no exposure to adverse environmental conditions.  Minimal travel required.
