Vice President FI Client Strategy (Remote) (Sales)



As the Vice President of Strategy for our Financial Services division, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our strategic vision, ensuring that we remain competitive, innovative, and responsive to the evolving landscape of the financial services industry. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that drive growth, profitability, and long-term success while optimizing our resources and capabilities.

The Vertical Strategist brings extensive marketing/program development expertise and relies on high degree of business acumen to determine what financial institution needs to drive financial and media solutions. This position provides leadership to large and/or complex work streams, projects and initiatives that engage cross-organizational team members. This role may be asked to lead corporate initiatives and to engage with people from all levels of the organization.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works directly with Sales leadership to guide marketing development, align resources and create marketing initiatives to grow and sustain successful check, financial, and media solutions. Conducts research to gather actionable intelligence on competitors, clients, and market trends; conducts follow-up to measure sales trends and marketing effectiveness; assists in developing client acquisition, service and retention strategies; and assesses, guides, and coaches execution of client marketing plans. 15%
  • Leads large and complex sales initiatives that support sales growth. Leverages extensive experience to drive strategic development that aligns with key corporate strategies and goals; and manages the work of cross-organizational sub-teams/work streams. 15%
  • Develop trusted relationships with key internal/external stakeholders to collaborate and influence across the organization contributing to the development of our go to market strategy. 15%
  • Leverages market data and analytics to influence success of client marketing programs/initiatives and to continuously improve upon client marketing results. Gathers field, member, and stakeholder feedback to ensure alignment and to optimize effectiveness. Continues to build marketing intelligence through external and internal data sources. 15%
  • Uses vertical marketing expertise/experience to contribute to larger marketing initiatives and projects. May be charged with leading cross-sub-teams and workstreams and providing work direction in support of larger marketing initiatives. Leverages experience to drive development that aligns with key corporate strategies and initiatives. 10%
  • Contributes to the development of marketing strategies that support the organizational Brand and Go-To-Market strategies; and responsible for development of actionable tactics that support productivity and revenue growth. Works closely with FI product. 10%
  • Plans, creates, and/or produces with our product marketing team to develop strategies with associations and product marketing to expand our brand awareness in the FI market. 10%
  • Develop trusted relationships with key internal/external stakeholders to collaborate and contribute to branding and distribution of member offers that attract target segments, drive membership growth, and increase member loyalty. 10%
EDUCATION
  • College degree in Marketing or related field; Master's degree a plus, but not required.

EXPERIENCE
  • 10+ years of marketing or financial sales experience.
  • Experience in a specialized area of marketing (direct marketing, e-marketing, communications, analytics, brand positioning, social networking media, etc) and/or project/program management.
  • 5+ years relevant experience in consumer financial services and with a distributed sales force preferred - in banking, lending, debt solutions, or fintech.

  • Applies a development mindset that uses creativity and marketing expertise to develop new, more effective, and more efficient marketing approaches.
  • Ability to manage up, down, and across a large organization.
Base Salary: Minimum $230,000- Maximum $250,000

Position is eligible for a sales strategy bonus incentive program.

The ultimate compensation offered for the position will depend upon several factors such as skill level, cost of living, experience, and responsibilities.
