Shop Mechanic-Mill Hall, PA (Construction)



Job Description

  Key Energy Services located in Mill Hall, PA has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Shop Mechanic.
 
 
Job Summary:
 
A Shop Mechanic should be able to determine problems with equipment and correct the repair necessary  
 with safety and the highest quality always at the top of the priorities
 
This position has a dotted line reporting line to: Shop Supervisor.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:   

  • Supervise and coordinate activities
  • Basic welding
  • Schedule workload
  • Review job tickets for accuracy
  • Review daily timecard for payroll accuracy
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace
  • Ability to work safely and be safety leaders including a 5 min safety mtg daily
  • Basic knowledge of hydraulics-air-electrical
  • Maintain all safety training and equipment
  • Fill out daily work tickets
  • Maintain JSA
  • Follow all waste disposal procedures
  • Follow and maintain all company policies
  • Oversee all maintenance, appearance and up-keep of equipment assigned
  • Ability to perform minor job task
  • Maintain inventory control of asset/not asset items
  • Organization skills
  • Basic knowledge of equipment types
  • Basic knowledge of components
  • Knowledge of D service requirements
  • Ability to troubleshoot minor issues
  • Ability to read schematics-parts books
  • Wears proper safety equipment on the job (when applicable)
a. Goggles, face shields or safety glasses
b. Ear plugs/muffs
c. Steel toed boots.
d. Hard hats
e. Safety belts
f. Anti-fall devices
g. SCBA (Self-contained Breathing Apparatus)
h. H2S detectors
i. Slicker or tyvek chemical suits
j. Gloves
k. FR uniforms
  PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  
  • Three (2) years or more of work experience as a mechanic or a similar capacity.
  • Must have a Class C license, or valid DCL A or B driver's license depending on the vehicle required to drive.
  • Knowledge and skills in well service equipment/vehicle repair or preventive maintenance.
  • Must be skillful in rebuilding, inspecting and repairing equipment, including hydraulic, electrical and overhauling engines and transmissions.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate safe work habits and work well with others.
  • Must pass post-employment drug/alcohol urinalysis.
  • Must pass post-offer "Essential Job Functions Test.”
  • Must pass DOT drug test and physical by state and federal government DOT, if required.
Education Requirements:
 
High school diploma, GED, or the equivalent is preferred.
Certification from trade or technical school in maintenance or repair highly preferred. Apply
