Reporting to the Director of Regulat ory Affairs, the Administrative Assistant III w ill be responsible for supporting a team of Regul atory Affairs professionals , the businesses and other functions to provide administrative support for regulatory examination s and continuous monitoring activities to ensure those interactions are highly coordinated, well managed and aligned with SVB's Code of Conduct and Corporate Values. Th is p osition will play a key role in Regulatory Affairs' centralized s upport function by ensuring highly complex processes for regulatory examination and continuous monitoring activities meet supervisory expectation s and facilitate e fficient and effective management outcomes. This position requires the ability to develop e ffective relationships with internal and external stakeholders by building trust and credibility through strong interpersonal skills, communications, and actions. This position is critical to managing the regulatory risk of SVB's complex global technology and life sciences focused businesses while facilitating enterprise awareness of the status of ongoing global regulatory activity, emerging issues, open regulatory matters and other obligations and commitments to SVB's global supervisors.
The position requires advanced calendar management and scheduling capabilities , preferably experience in scheduling all aspect s of internal meetings with E xecutive management, meetings between internal and external stakeholders (bank regulators) , e xperience in developing reporting and visualizations for meetings ; strong knowledge of technology tools and solutions to enable such reporting , including the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure data is delivered timely, accurately and comprehensively ; and detailed knowledge of administrative support activities, including deep understanding of logistical and other requirements to support such activities. Background in admirative support in the financial services industry is considered a plus.
Administrative Support for the H ead of Regulatory Affairs (RA)
Administrative Support for Regulatory E xamination s
S upport s RA in overseeing all aspects of regulatory examination activities. This includes arranging large volumes of internal and external meetings with bank examiners, senior bank supervisors, E xecutives / other members of senior management and helping to coordinat e the review and exchange of any related documents. Examinations typically entail a combination of onsite and offsite supervisory activities and this role is responsible for all logistical aspects in support of both in office and remote supervisory interactions. More specifically, for each exam or other supervisory event, this role must:
Administrative Support for Continuous Monitoring A ctivities
Support RA in overseeing all aspects of continuous monitoring activities Continuous monitoring is defined as non-examination activities undertaken by regulators to develop and maintain an understanding of an organization's risk profile, policies, and practices. These activities typically include meetings with Executive management and occasionally with members of the board of directors. To ensure this process is well managed, this role must:
