DESCRIPTION
Michael Baker is actively seeking a Drainage Engineer for the Tallahassee, FL office. The successful candidate will be a task leader for drainage related tasks on projects for roadways, trails, parks, airports, utilities and storm water retrofits. The successful candidate will be responsible for project related drainage design tasks, drainage report preparation, and permit submittals. Candidate will mentor and lead junior staff to complete task requirements on budget and schedule. Candidate will coordinate with clients and have opportunities to participate in marketing activities.
Experience with FDOT and public roadway drainage design is required. The candidate shall have a strong understanding of the FDOT Drainage Manual, FDOT Drainage Design Guide, FDOT Design Manual requirements, pond modeling, and collection/conveyance design.
The successful candidate shall have strong verbal and written skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Opportunities will be provided to work with clients and participate in marketing activities.
The candidate will have the opportunity to work on projects located throughout Florida and nationally. Travel should be anticipated to visit project sites, attend client meetings and for coordination with staff located in our other Florida offices.
