The ServiceNow Solution Lead does support a scope of ServiceNow applications and translates functional requirements into technical requirements, by working with Functional Analysts, Business stakeholders, Architects and Delivery teams. They act as the primary resource for communicating technical requirements, continuous operations of applications and services, and therefore are the primary point of escalation for resolving issues related to these areas. With its business stakeholders they lead the creation of high-quality, objective businesses cases for new business requests by coordinating with the relevant business and IT stakeholders.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
• Work with Functional Analysts and Business Stakeholders (if needed) to create clearly understand functional requirements and specifications
• Identify end-to-end processes and operations likely to be impacted due to the technical build of the solution, document and communicate impacts to the relevant solution and process owners to plan for process changes
• Communicate key technical issues anticipated in solution design to Functional Analyst and business stakeholders and revise functional requirements / use cases / business case as needed
• Provide detailed technical inputs to Application Developers and collaborate with the appropriate teams during different stages of solution delivery as needed (Design, build & configure, integration, testing, etc.) to support the build of a solution that meets all technical requirements
• Contribute extensively to the annual planning and budgetary process for the applications by serving as a liaison between strategy, portfolio, and project execution
• Contribute to Application Portfolio roadmap, throughout the entire lifecycle of the application
• Determine and resolve dependencies on other teams to identify methods to improve current team processes and quality standard
• Work with the Functional Analyst and business stakeholders to understand the business strategy and communicate it effectively to the development team to contribute to solution vision, roadmap, and content presentations
• Resolve impediments quickly when escalated to enable solution delivery
• Provide research and new technology recommendations on risk and compliance governance to improve data security and provide technical guidance to Solution Delivery and Infrastructure & Operations teams during solution build phase
• Support internal & external audits and threat assessments to track sub-optimal areas and ensure corrective actions are taken
• Collaborate with the Data Architect to construct and maintain data architectures while driving continuous alignment between the architectures and business requirements
• Assist with renovating the data management infrastructure to drive automation in data integration and management
• Seek and collate feedback from IT services and solution, analyze the suggestions and report them to respective service / solution owners to effectively relay user feedback & suggestions
• Review, record and accept/ reject requests for change (RFCs)
• Oversee the delivery of end-to-end services by third party vendors to ensure services align to business requirements
• Plan, define, and create high-level designs or solutions (products or services) in line with business goals, to actively lead the technical vision to success
• Engage with technical and business stakeholders to understand business needs, and advise on technical needs
• Work with vendors and suppliers to evaluate options for solutions and services to address external requirements and features, and incorporate them into solution designs
• Research advanced technologies and approaches regarding best practices in the field to determine trends that may impact organization operations
• Work with Application Architects to ensure all systems integrate into the solution's technology stack
• Provide recommendations of best practices, share information on market trends (new technologies / vendor capabilities), and vendor product roadmaps to promote systems integration and adoption of relevant solutions
• Share knowledge and insights with leadership to help structure and manage the deal and prepare for negotiations with other internal stakeholders / external vendors (if any)
• Advise business and technology subject-matter experts and BRMs to elicit and translate high level business needs into technological solutions so that the portfolio of IT solutions aligns with business priorities and objectives
• Act as an advisor to IT strategic planning efforts, by helping business leaders clarify their objectives and expectations for technological innovation efforts
• Promote the use of a shared infrastructure and application roadmap to reduce costs and improve information flow

• Specializes in analyzing, designing, prioritizing, and implementing a set of IT products, platforms and/or services.
• Leverages understanding of business strategy and needs to create a vision and roadmap for IT products, platforms and/or services.
• Ensures technologies add value and can scale Medtronic's use of a given IT solution across various businesses, regions, and functions
MUST HAVE (Minimum Qualifications)
• High school diploma (or equivalent) and 12+ years of experience
OR
• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience or advanced degree and 8+ years of experience
NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Qualifications)
• Previous Medtronic experience
• Experience in the following areas:
o Process Improvement
o Performance Monitoring and Analysis
o Service Requirements Gathering
o Benchmarking
o Service Management best practices (IT, HR, Customer Service, etc.)
