Recreation Software Specialist (Administrative)



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Works under the direction of an assigned supervisor to handle the processing of financial and constituent information for the division. Assists with the processing of new memberships, program registrations, collections, and all online transactions. Completes and updates membership application data. Processes membership cancellations and hold requests. Handles post online registration workflow for all registrants. Collaborates with program staff to train members on how to navigate the website and account creations. Troubleshoots problems and answers questions for staff and members regarding member accounts. Attempts to recover or reinstate memberships that are cancelled due to non-payment of fees. Creates appointments for new members to assist through online sales. Serves as primary support for staff and members. Answers phone calls and emails related to member accounts and memberships. Processes monthly, weekly, and daily audit reports. Works with division service centers to train staff on RecDesk recreation management software to ensure accuracy with online sales and registrations. Enters all quarterly programming into RecDesk.

OTHER FUNCTIONS: 1. Performs additional functions (essential or otherwise) which may be assigned.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL CONDITIONS: Must be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. Requires ability to operate general office equipment such as a computer and a telephone.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed primarily in an office environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field and two (2) years' experience or any combination of experience or training which enables one to perform the essential job functions. Working experience with Microsoft Office Suites preferred.

The City Charter requires that City Employees must establish residence within Shelby County withing six (6) months from the date of employment.  Proof of residence will be required at the time of hire.
