CORPORATE PASTRY CHEF (Manufacturing)
Essential Responsibilities: include the following and other responsibilities that may be assigned:
1. Maintains, supports and promotes CMR culture and philosophies.
2. Develops extraordinary desserts for all CMR restaurants including new concepts.
3. Oversees training in all CMR locations to ensure that all bakers are executing dessert recipes.
4. Tastes all dessert to asses quality and complete any follow up needed.
5. Is responsible for ensuring that all CMR quality standards are being upheld: rollout completion, line check completion, recipe adherence, use of proper techniques, etc.
6. Complies with all portion sizes, quality standards, restaurants rules and procedures, follows recipes, checks portions of food items prior to cooking or baking, and properly rotates products.
7. Adheres to standards of professional appearance, personal cleanliness, and proper uniform. Displays confidence and a friendly disposition at all times.
8. Notifies Sous Chef and/or Executive Chef of all product shortages and equipment maintenance issues.
9. Displays proper food safety techniques in handling and preparation. This includes personal hygiene, hand washing, gloves, knife skills, etc. Maintains a sanitary and organized workstation.

Education and/or Experience: One year certificate from college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and to speak effectively before groups of guests or associates.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages and volume.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, and individual should have knowledge of/or experience with point of sale systems, Microsoft Word, Excel and other computer programs.
