What's the role?

The ERP Systems Administrator is pivotal in managing and optimizing the organization's materials management software systems (Fishbowl) and transition to our ERP system (SAP). This position will provide enterprise systems/business support for various projects for enterprise applications, focusing on proper configuration and utilization of our current solution (Fishbowl) and leading the set-up and configuration of an SAP ERP solution. The purpose of the ERP Systems Administrator is to ensure smooth business operations through system configuration and maintenance that mirrors industry best practice, and continuous improvement of the ERP solution in accordance with the business strategy. This position is also responsible for enhancing supply chain operations by driving the use of business intelligence tools that optimizes the efficient use of our software systems and facilitates data driven decision making. The role demands strategic oversight, technical expertise, and a proactive system management and process improvement approach.

Here's what you'll do:

  • System Mastery and Optimization: Serve as the technical expert for Fishbowl and SAP, ensuring optimal system configuration and performance, accurate master data management, the correct planning and procurement parameters, and strategic utilization to support organizational goals.
  • System Administration: Manage user access, permissions, and security protocols to maintain data integrity and compliance with audit standards.
  • Enhancements and Upgrades: Plan, test, and validate system enhancements and upgrades to ensure seamless integration and improved functionality within existing workflows.
  • Process Development and Training: Develop and document processes that leverage full system functionality and industry best practices. Provide comprehensive training for functional users that enhances user efficiency and system accuracy.
  • Business Intelligence Reporting: Create, manage, and communicate reports and KPIs to drive informed business decisions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely data feeding into reports.
  • Data Integrity and Hierarchy Management: Establish and enforce methods to ensure data accuracy and a well-structured item hierarchy, supporting effective analysis and reporting.
  • User Support and Collaboration: Act as the primary support resource for system (Fishbowl, SAP, forecasting or WMS bolt-on, etc.) users, addressing issues and collaborating on solutions to meet diverse needs.
  • Ad Hoc Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned by the department manager or other management team members.

Do you qualify?

  • Education: A Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience with a major ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, JD Edwards, MS Dynamics, Fishbowl) as a core job function.
  • Technical Expertise: Working knowledge of MM, PP, SD modules in a major ERP system in a manufacturing setting (ideally candidate will also have FICO experience).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across teams and stakeholders.
  • Technical Skills: High proficiency required in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Multi-Tasking Ability: Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality performance.

Preferred:

  • Implementation experience with a major ERP system (e.g. SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics, etc.) as a consultant or customer in a technical role.
  • Experience using/managing a Business Intelligence system, e.g. Power BI, Looker, etc.
  • Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., pharmaceuticals, medical devices, food) is a plus.
  • Certifications: Exposure to Lean methodologies preferred; Six Sigma Green Belt is a plus.
