The VIAVI Av Comm team is looking for an experienced Design Test Engineer to join the team. The Design Test Engineer analyzes, designs, programs, debugs and modifies software. Work often involves analog and digital hardware and software operating systems. Position requires knowledge and exposure to hardware design. Typically, programs in machine language, assembly language and high-level languages (e.g., C, C++).

Responsibilities:

• You would be designing automated test scripts in order to test various radios and test sets using multiple programming languages, such as Python, LabWindows/CVI and C++.
• You would be developing test plans in order to fully test systems based on engineering specifications and producing documentation in order to develop the automated tests.
• You could be responsible for creating software tests on our own systems and develop methods to automate the testing using scripts executed from a CI/CD pipeline.
• You will be using Bitbucket or GitLab for the source code repository and Jira for task tracking and test executions.

Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
