Lead Patient Scheduler | Pre-Admitting & Testing | Elkhart General Hospital (Finance)
JOB SUMMARY
Reports to Manager. Oversees the daily functions of both Pre-Admissions and Scheduling. Knowledgeable of the functions of both areas to ensure productivity and flow are maintained. Ensures support, knowledge and maintenance for all applications related to the daily function for both all areas of oversite, Surginet, etc. Supervises scheduling to train new staff and gives feedback to current staff. Works with Clinical staff and other associate committees to ensure accurate charging set up from any charting function. Runs daily reports for physician offices as needed, runs metric reports, and monitor productivity. Back up for insurance specialist and schedulers, non-clinical PAT staff, etc. as needed.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
The knowledge, skills, and abilities as indicated below are normally acquired through the successful completion of an Associate's Degree or Professional Training. A minimum of 1 to 2 years of job-related and supervisory or team lead experience is required.
Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge of clinical scheduling system.
Knowledge of surgical procedures.
Strong typing and computer skills.
Microsoft products experience - Outlook, Excel, Word, and Access.
Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Knowledge of Lean principles (TVM) preferred.
Ability to work under stressful conditions caused by operational deadlines, application or system malfunctions, and customer related issues.
Maintain proficiency with various office software programs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to continue education on advancing technologies and applications related to systems.
Working Conditions

Extensive periods of time sitting and working in front of a computer monitor.
