Credit Analyst (Government)
Responsible for the complete process of setting up new accounts for those that fall within his/her defined area of responsibility. Assigns credit line within his/her authority level. Is competent in the use of Oracle (or similar ERP system) as relates to Credit Management.
Analyzes credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit. Approves assigning of credit line and renewal of expired lines within his/her authority level (i.e. $250k primary approval, $400k secondary). Approves orders in excess of line up to assigned thresholds ($75k Implicit, $150k Subjective).Beyond assigned approval limits, prepares written recommendation to the appropriate authority level to approve changes on accounts' credit line.The proposal shall include the degree of risk involved determined from analysis of credit data and financial statements.
Provides order management support to Collectors, Supply Chain, and Sales to monitor credit exposure, effect timely payment, and minimize risk of customer disputes or default.
Evaluates, approves or proposes payment plans to assist customers in the resolution of delinquencies during time of temporary financial strain. Is familiar with and utilizes Personal Guarantees & Promissory Notes to mitigate risk. Administer performance of assigned collection accounts to include when to Place and in making recommendations regarding filing suit post Placement.
Confer with credit association and other business representatives to exchange credit information.Represent the Company in credit association meeting while complying fully with relevant anti-trust requirements.
Participates in department projects and takes an active role in cross-functional teams to assist in driving quality improvements, processes, and initiatives.
Education & Any Certifications Required
Education/Experience:
Associates degree with minimum of 12 hours of accounting preferred.
Year(s) of Experience & Background Required
2-4 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Valid Driver's License
Credit Business Associate certification (NACM) preferred
