Legal Assistant (Legal)
SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists with scheduling meetings, follow up, and deadlines, interfacing with other leaders on behalf of the OGC.Calendars deadlines and deliverables for the OGC and ensures prompt follow up is documented.Assists with maintaining CLE and licensure requirements current for OGC.Filing pleadings with the court clerk.Draft legal correspondence, pleadings, policies or processes, etc.Assist with filing, packaging contract documents for signature, and responding to internal and external correspondence to OGC.Assist in drafting and revising corporate policies, procedures, and forms.Assists with drafting, editing, and proofing legal correspondence, contracts, leases, and other contractual agreements for General Counsel.Schedule follow up, deliverables, and reviews in order of priority.Provide oversight of other Legal team members as it relates to upcoming deadlines and deliverables.Organize and distribute legal memorandums or guidance as requested to CARTI leaders at the direction of General Counsel.Communicate effectively with both internal employees and external clients, as appropriate.Performs other duties as are assigned.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, REGISTRATION:
High school education or GED, required.Associates degree in legal studies, criminal justice, business administration, or other relevant field of study, preferred.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Minimum 5 years experience as a legal assistant or similar job title.Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel.Strong oral and written communication skills and excellent organizational skills.Must be able to effectively multi-task, manage time sensitive deadlines, and have exceptional organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.Must be able to function effectively in a busy, team-oriented environment.Office administration experience.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, or oral form.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
Must interact and communicate both verbally and in written form.Must interact and exchange information regarding patients with physicians and other departmental personnel, and outside agencies on a frequent basis while respecting the confidentiality of patient information.
