Lean Manufacturing Manager (Marketing)

The Lean Manufacturing Manager will be a resource of lean expertise for Morristown manufacturing site and will lead the change process through design and implementation of Lean using cross-functional teams
Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinates floor roll-out of tools and model line activities at the assigned plant
• Drives core team/champion problem solving on discrete ideas
• Leads continuous improvement initiatives
• Primary source of Lean, trainer for lean tools in Toyota Production System during plant transformation and continuous improvement efforts (e.g., material flow, pull systems, line balance, etc); builds capabilities using hands-on application and written materials
• Coaches supervisors and team leaders in problem solving and performance management (e.g., 5-Why, fishbone, etc)
• Interacts with all functions of a site operation (e.g., purchasing, product development, etc)
• Evaluates current-state plant layouts and develops future state designs using the principles of Lean manufacturing
• Bachelor's Degree Required.
• Minimum of 5 years of Lean Manufacturing experience is required.
• Six Sigma Green or Black-Belt certification is preferred.
• Possesses an action-oriented approach
• Performance attributes: self-starter, positive, willingness to ask questions
• Intrinsic to break problem into manageable parts and initiate analyses
• Ability to brainstorm and collaboratively solve discrete problems with peers
• Willingness to embrace new concepts and translate into impact
• Understands and has implemented elements of the Toyota Production System
• Fundamental computer skills (e.g., MS Word/Excel basics, inter-/intranet, etc)
• Simple skill transfer experience
• Basic knowledge of current metrics and systems in home plant
• Strong interpersonal communication, influencing, and basic PC software abilities are essential
