What you will be doing:

  • Build the Business Loan Portfolio according to the credit union's vision and goals by cultivating new business            opportunities in the local market, and evaluating opportunities presented through branch prospects and loan              participation partner networks.
  • Manage Business Loan pipeline, with an emphasis on ensuring timely decisions and high quality communication with prospective borrowers.
  • Partner with Underwriters and Portfolio Managers in monitoring existing portfolio, updating financial information in order to minimize risk from deteriorating financial conditions.
  • Partner with Underwriters and Portfolio Managers in monitoring existing portfolio for maturing loans, delinquent        accounts, and the issuance of annual audit reviews.
  • Create opportunities for expanding the existing business member relationship by determining additional products and  services for both the member's business and personal needs.
  • Evaluate methods that are successful for building business loan portfolio and recommend changes, as needed. Assist in setting annual business goals.
  • Effectively utilize consultative selling techniques to sell credit union products and services to business account members.
  • Explain to members the different types of loans that are available and facilitate negotiation of loan structure, including fees, loan repayment options and other credit terms.
  • Follow up on business loan leads that come through the various channels of the credit union. Attend various branch department meetings to address any concerns and provide insight into business lending that will enable them to grow business lending.

What we need from you:

  • College degree preferred. Formal credit training with 5-8 years of Business Lending experience. 
  • Established book of business with COI Network in any of the following areas: South Jersey, Philadelphia, Baltimore or Washington, DC.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business credit underwriting, including analysis of appropriate financial information.
  • Well developed leadership, communication, and organization skills. Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Strong sales and service orientation to cultivate business relationships in meeting business lending goals.
  • Capacity to work flexible schedule that accommodates brand promotion, such as networking and community event participation.
  • Ability and willingness to travel independently to prospective business member locations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and spoken
  • Proficient PC skills; MS Word, Excel and applicable software.

Work From Home Requirements:

  • Internet speed of 100mbps or higher required (you can test this by going to www.speedtest.net)
  • Able to dedicate a quiet space for daily work that is free of sound interruptions.
  • All equipment will be provided by Jovia (Computer, Monitor, Headset)
