The Human Resources recruiter is responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success throughout the organization. This will be achieved through the development of local and national recruiting plans employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position: · Develop and execute recruiting plans. · Create and maintain job descriptions. · Implement and coordinate college recruiting initiatives. · Lead the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position. · Effectively and efficiently fill open positions. · Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation. · Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need. · Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting. · Build networks to find qualified passive candidates. · Post openings with online job boards, professional organizations, and other appropriate venues. · Use social and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates. · Locate and document where to find ideal candidates. · Aid in establishing a recognizable employer of choice reputation for the company, both internally and externally. · Regularly communicate with managers and team members to establish rapport, gauge morale, and source new candidate leads. · Manage the team member referral program. · Create contacts within the industry. · Manage the use of recruiters and headhunters. · Review applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements. · Conduct prescreening interviews. · Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS). · Perform reference and background checks for potential team members. · Assist in writing and forwarding rejection letters. · Assist in interviewing and selecting team members onsite. · Assist in preparing and sending offer packages. · Coordinate new team member orientation. · Perform other duties as required and assigned.
Skills and Abilities Required: · Must possess strong communication skills (verbal and written). · Excellent computer skills utilizing Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access. · Proven candidate sourcing and relationship building skills. · General knowledge of various employment laws and practices. · Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills. · The ability to work in a confidential environment is essential. · Must possess excellent organization skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize with minimal direction. · Must possess strong time management skills. · Ability to travel for recruitment meetings, college visits, and career fairs, and maintain a flexible work schedule. · Must maintain a professional appearance and provide a positive company image. · Minimum Education and Experience Required: · Bachelor's degree, preferably in a Human Resources related field. · Minimum of four (4) years of experience recruiting highly technical positions, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry. · Minimum of two (2) year of conducting behavioral interviews. Preferred Education and Experience: · Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or related field. · Professional certification such as PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP.
