Communications and Marketing Specialist (Media)
Guided by the mission of OHFA “We open doors to an affordable place to call home” the Ohio Housing Finance Agency is looking for a dedicated individual to fill the Communications and Marketing Specialist position.
The Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) offers affordable housing opportunities for Ohioans from rental assistance to homeownership. OHFA provides access to financial resources for the development and management of affordable housing. The Agency's programs serve first-time homebuyers, renters, senior citizens and other populations with special needs who otherwise might not be able to afford quality housing. The Office of Communications and Marketing champions the Agency as a trusted resource for information on housing policy and promotes OHFA homebuyer programs through outreach, event sponsorship and advertising. The Office works internally and externally to develop and maintain partnerships with stakeholders, community-based organizations and vendors to reach various communities throughout the state. Office staff develop promotional and advertising campaigns that showcase OHFA's homebuyer programs as a viable financial resource for Ohioans looking to buy a home.
This position is responsible for writing copy for press releases, presentations, talking points, marketing materials, and internal communications and more. This position manages social media outreach and engagement for the Agency, researches social media trends, and helps coordinate the annual video campaign.

Preferred Education: Bachelors in Communications, Journalism, Advertising, English
Experience: 2 years in a communications role, strong writing and editing/skills, familiarity with AP Style, affinity with social media platforms and engagement tools, some video editing and/or graphic experience preferred, familiar with media management tools
