Mechanical Maintenance Tech Trainee (Marketing)

Job Description
Installs and repairs electromechanical systems, apparatus, and electrical and mechanical components of industrial machinery and equipment. This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
• Maintain a clean safe work area.
• Responsible for reporting and/or correcting any unsafe conditions.
• Installs machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors, printing presses, and programmable controllers.
• Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.
• Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
• Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices.
• Diagnoses malfunctioning mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
• Repairs or replaces mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
• Responsible for completion of all preventative maintenance assignments.
• Responsible for completion of maintenance requisitions and parts department orders in a timely and accurate manner.
• Participate in department training.
• Responsible for maintaining good working relations with all departments.
• Assists with the planning of projects and enhancements.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Completion of a company sponsored technical school program.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual shall be obtain knowledge of Microsoft Outlook software; Datastream7i, Manufacturing software and Microsoft Word Processing software.
• Complete Outlined Technical program through Henry Ford Community College. Fork Lift and JLG License will be required.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
