Postdoctoral Fellowship, Genome Biology Division (Biotech)
The Research Department at New England Biolabs (NEB) is seeking a highly motivated individual for a Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Division of Genome Biology. The successful candidate will engage in research focused on vector-borne diseases using contemporary genomic and bioinformatic approaches to further our understanding of the biology and develop new tools for diagnosis and surveillance.
Primary Responsibilities:
Use the latest Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies to study pathogen genomes and microbiomes.
Develop and implement novel diagnostic assays to detect infection in humans and arthropod vectors.
Publish and present novel research findings in academic journals and conferences.
Qualifications and Experience:
Recent Ph.D. in infectious diseases, genomics, molecular biology, or related field.
Technical expertise in NGS and large-scale data analysis.
Experience in diagnostic assay development and implementation.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
A strong record of scientific publication.
