Truck/Fleet Dispatcher (Transportation)

We are seeking a Truck/Fleet Dispatcher for County Materials in Madison, IL.

Job Duties:

Plan and organize loads within region to dispatch trucks to meet customer requests and production team activities.
Communicates with customers to determine driver demand and driving schedules.
Notifies drivers of assignments and enters assignment data into a computer database.
Prepare delivery tickets for drivers and respond to inquiries from drivers.
Utilize multi-line phones, two-way radios, and computer software for data entry and route coordination.
Performs administrative duties.

Work Environment:

Indoor office environment.

Frequent Sitting.

Experience & Qualifications:

2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
An adequate combination of education/service years/experience will be considered for the right candidate.
Familiar with commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the trucking industry.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Assertive, self-motivated, and positive attitude.
Attention to detail while performing a variety of tasks is a must.
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
Customer service oriented.
Proficient level in MS Office: Outlook, Excel, and Word.
