Purpose: Places hooks on conveyor, loads unpainted parts on hooks for painting, off-loads painted parts from hooks, reworks defective parts, and bends production parts. Position Prerequisite: Must meet the following requirements: 1. Complies with all rules and regulations of Agri-Fab, Inc. and actively contributes to workplace safety. 2. Interacts in a positive and cooperative manner in all dealings with co-workers and management. 3. Actively participates in training; stays current and in compliance with required annual safety training. 4. Supports manufacturing improvement programs and initiatives. Offers and helps implement improvement suggestions. 5. Maintains a clean, orderly and safe working environment; wears and utilizes all PPE required for each job. 6. Follows standard work and work instructions. 7. Displays a high degree of attention to detail. 8. Displays appropriate sense of urgency in communicating concerns (safety, quality, etc.). 9. Cross-trains in order to perform all tasks in job rotation. 10. Works overtime, including weekends and holidays, as required.
Essential Functions This position's essential functions vary due to rotating assignments and include but are not limited to: 1. Hook Hanger a. Maintains the Parts Identification Board for part identification. b. Selects and hangs hooks with the proper spacing for each part. c. Sets gaps for color changes and ensures there are no unnecessary gaps in the line. d. Starts and stops the line accordingly. e. Makes sure all hooks are stored in their proper place. f. Inspects and replaces heavily painted hooks, and places on racks for burn off. 2. Hang-On a. Properly utilizes the Parts Identification Board to maintain accurate part identification. b. Hangs quality parts on the paint line. c. Hangs parts in proper orientation. d. Ensures every hook has the required part. 3. Take-Off a. Takes the parts off the conveyor. b. Places parts in basket in such a way as to assure quality of paint is maintained. c. Accurately maintains accurate part identification using the Parts Identification Board. d. Counts, places and labels parts in proper containers. 4. Press Operator a. Bends parts and properly stacks parts for production. b. Communicates need for parts with material handler. c. Meets or exceed established production rate. 5. Rework a. Uses sander, buffer, power washer, abrasive pad, etc., to rework rejected parts. 6. Additional functions a. Helps powder paint line area as needed to meet production goals. b. Performs required PMs as scheduled. c. Cuts cardboard to line containers (i.e. red wire baskets), when applicable. d. Reworks parts that have been rejected. e. Sweeps and cleans up the powder paint line area. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Measuring and Mathematical Skills a. Accurately add, subtracts, multiplies, and divides. b. Able to correctly match parts to tag descriptions. c. Identify parts using work instructions. Language Skills (Speaking and Writing) a. Reads, interprets, and takes action on written instruction. Physical Requirements and Manual Dexterity a. Able to stand and walk entire shift. b.
