Pr. Mechanical Design Engineer (Finance)
As a member of the R&D Mechanical Engineering group in the Intensive Insulin Management business unit, the individual selected for this role will be responsible for product, process, and technology development activities of diabetes related products such as insulin pumps, glucose sensors, and related accessories. The Pr. Mechanical Design Engineer will play a significant role in the ideation, design, development, sustaining, Design and Process Characterization and Design Verification activities of diabetes products. The individual will have significant ability to influence manufacturing processes and technology development as new products are conceptualized.
The person filling this role will become part of a dynamic and fast paced R&D group with a strong history of successful product development. They will have the opportunity to interface with vendors and end customer, as well as various functional groups within the diabetes business unit.
The ideal candidate for this position has had experience in medical device design, development, design verification, and validation. This individual has experience in plastic part design as well as electromechanical assemblies. The ideal candidate has a strong background in process design and qualification including Test Method Validation (TMV). This individual has experience in medical devices and aptitude for taking customer feedback and product requirements translating them into meaningful engineering specifications and designs.
