We are seeking a Wound Care Specialist to join our team as our Travel/Float!
***THIS IS A ROAD WARRIOR POSITION*** Weekly travel to require overnight stays throughout the southeast US.
You will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of assigned patients at various locations in the southeast US ( two-state-position for Georgia and South Carolina).

Wound Care Specialist ARNP
**We will train**If the idea of working 24/7 with high stress or very sick patients in a hospital or office (a high malpractice risk associated with relative low pay) no longer excites you, this may be the job for you. Our growing nursing home wound care practice is in need of anARNP.
This position requires extensive travel and flexibility. Monday-Friday patient schedule with no night or weekend calls, great staff to work with, well-compensated.
Wound Care Specialist Duties:
Manage wound care in the nursing home environmentEducate personnel. Experience is helpful but not required
Wound Care Specialist Job Description:
We expect that you haveNOknowledge of wound care. We will teach you all there is to know.We expect you to read the materials assigned to study and demonstrate this with documents and conversation.It takes about a month to learn the basics, 3 months to start to feel comfortable, and 1 year to know wound care.This is a day job, Monday through Friday. No nights or weekends. But we do expect you to be available by cell phone 24/7.This is a ROAD WARRIOR position requiring overnight hotel stays (M-F only) for extended periods of time as our practice grows.We group the facilities by location and assign them to you. You visit these facilities weekly and manage the care of the patient's wounds.
Qualifications and Skills
Wound care involves:
Assessing the patient (complete H&P). Special attention is paid to disorders that increase the risks of wound formation.Debridement of woundsOrder appropriate dressingsOrdering other appropriate medications and instructionsEducating the nursing staffCommunication with PCP, family, and QSM team (thats us) as needed.
Guessing is not allowed!
Wound Care Specialist Requirements:
Licensed ARNP to practice (unencumbered)DEA license optionalBoard Certified/Eligible, State requirements of the positionBilingual a plusAbility to learn, teach, manage others, and be a team playerEnjoys the mental and physical challenges of wound careComputer skillsPrevious experience in nursing or other medical fieldsFamiliarity with medical software and equipmentAbility to build rapport with patients and other facility staffStrong problem-solving and critical-thinking skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment
