While open to all students in Nashville as a public school, our focus is on being a true neighborhood school for the students and families of the Pearl-Cohn and Whites Creek Clusters. Encompass is set to open in August 2025, welcoming 105 students in grades K-3 to embark on this innovative journey.
We are seeking a reliable, proactive, and detail-oriented Operations and Enrichment Specialist to keep our building safe, clean, organized, and running smoothly. From managing daily custodial tasks and supporting arrival/dismissal to assisting in the front office, this person plays a key behind-the-scenes and public-facing role in helping our students, staff, and families thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Enrichment Responsibilities

Receive, log, and organize all incoming supply deliveries.

Support daily arrival and dismissal procedures, including traffic flow, signage/cones, and student safety.

Maintain clean, organized storage areas and supply closets.

Assist with emergency drills and general building readiness tasks.

Serve as a consistent, helpful presence for staff and students throughout the day.

Plan and lead a daily one-hour enrichment block.

Support communication related to dismissal and student transportation, including bus coordination.

Front Office Responsibilities

Greet visitors, families, and students in a warm, professional manner

Answer phones and support general front desk communication.

Assist with student late arrivals, early dismissals, and family sign-ins/outs.

Provide administrative support such as copying, filing, or preparing materials.

Monitor front door access and ensure secure and safe entry procedures.

Facilities

Ensure restrooms, hallways, classrooms, and shared spaces are clean, stocked, and orderly throughout the day.

Conduct routine walk-throughs to identify and address custodial and light maintenance needs.

Communicate needs through the maintenance reporting system.

Support school-wide operations and handle trash removal, spill cleanup, and supply restocking.

Set up and break down furniture and equipment for meals, meetings, or events.

Monitor the facility and flag any urgent issues or safety concerns.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

Must pass a background check and be authorized to work in the U.S.

Ability to quickly learn and operate school-based platforms that manage enrollment, attendance, visitor check-in, and arrival/dismissal processes.

Comfortable interacting with families, students, and staff in a professional setting.

Able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs and stay active throughout the day.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Friendly, professional, and willing to step in wherever needed.

Attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean, functional spaces.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Hourly: $20 per hour

Schedule: 12:00-5:00pm Monday-Friday
