The Research and Statistics Group provides analytic support for the Bank's responsibilities relating to monetary policy, banking supervision, payments systems, and financial market issues. The Group contributes to the formulation and execution of policy in these areas, while also conducting independent economic research on a wide range of topics. The business areas include: Capital Markets, Financial Intermediation, International Research, Macroeconomic and Monetary Studies, Microeconomic Studies, Money and Payments Studies, Regional Analysis, RSG Group Shared Services, and Data and Statistics.
The Applied Strategy and Practices team in the Data and Statistics Function is looking to hire a Business Process Engineer with Business Decision Modeling capabilities to enable business process improvements through new and innovative methods and tooling. At the beginning of the data supply chain, the Statistics Function is the operational arm of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York by providing critical data services for over 100+ data collections on behalf of different stakeholders. Our work transforms raw data into information that drives Bank actions - directly support the Bank's mission to promote financial stability and support the implementation of domestic and international supervisory policies and monetary policy.
This role is responsible to provide hands-on support to design Business Decision Models through discovery and evaluation to find efficiencies and improvements to the business process in support of building out the Center of Excellence for the new Decision Modeling and Management practices in the Applied Strategy Practices team of the Statistics Function. The work involved is expected to increase the velocity of a multiyear strategic digitalization initiative as part of the Bank Objective by working closely with subject matter expects in Statistics to advance the Statistics services and capabilities. Areas of focus include thought leadership, insight generation, facilitated problem-solving, design thinking, and change management.
As a member of the Applied Strategy Practices team, this role will have opportunities to collaborate with other team members in support of a digitization transformation initiative with different low code technology solutions, such as Data Wrangling tools, as well as different strategic planning and development to help advance the Statistics Function into our target operating model.
