Endpoint and Integration Engineer (Information Technology)

Sierra7, Inc. is seeking an experienced Endpoint and Integration Engineer to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Application Packaging for Windows Client Operating System initiative. This individual will be responsible for hardware driver testing support, OS baseline management, and lab support to ensure a stable and secure endpoint environment. This role requires expertise in endpoint management platforms, hardware compatibility, and troubleshooting in large-scale enterprise IT environments.

Position Responsibilities:

Support testing of new and existing hardware (desktops, laptops, tablets, and peripherals) for driver functionality, supporting approximately 30 new hardware models annually and an ongoing inventory of 150 devices.
Work with the DDE team and third-party vendors to resolve identified hardware driver issues as required.
Serve as the DDE primary Point of Contact (POC) for the creation of new OS baselines (approximately 5 per year) and the maintenance and updating of 32 existing baselines.
Troubleshoot endpoint deployment issues, including compatibility, configuration, and performance problems.
Utilize Microsoft Configuration Manager (CM) Task Sequences and Intune to assist in lab testing functions for application package testing and OS delivery.
Provide technical expertise in endpoint security baselines, group policies, and integration with Active Directory and VA enterprise services.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to the Windows client OS deployment and baseline configurations.
Document integration processes, deployment steps, and troubleshooting guidance in accordance with VA standards.
Attend and participate in daily Windows client engineering conference calls.
