Marketing Analyst (Project Management)

Job Summary

The Market Analyst is a critical member of the Safety and Security Marketing Technology and Operations team and supports cross-functional key initiatives. The role is an analytical, data-driven individual with a keen ability to translate data into actionable insights, identify and solve marketing-related business problems, and present recommendations to optimize marketing programs and websites.

The ideal candidate will be results driven and motivated by the desire to find answers and new insights that enable the marketing team to meet goals.  An independent thinker with an ability to get things done across teams, who works well in a collaborative team environment and is self-reliant and self-motivated when working independently.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for tracking, reporting, and analyzing the performance of marketing activities, ad-hoc analytic requests, and development/automation of regular reports and dashboards in support of the marketing team.
  • Analyzes external and internal customer data using database queries (SQL), spreadsheet (Excel) models, web analytics tools (Google Analytics, GA4), statistical analysis tools, and data visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Data Studio)
  • Collaborate in developing hypothesis, designing of tests, and analyzing results to inform optimization of campaigns (Google Optimize, Session Cam).  Communicate results and provide recommendations.  Collaborate to develop and maintain overall testing roadmap for marketing.
  • Advises other marketing functions (e-commerce/website, online/offline advertising, brand, product development) as the knowledge owner for customer and market data.
  • Provide data governance for marketing and customer data in various databases.  Clean, organize, sort, and reconcile multiple databases to create a unified record for accounts and contacts to be used in analysis.  Establish processes and procedures to assure timeliness, accuracy and integrity of data sources and analysis.
  • Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to the quality, performance, and completeness of our database.
  • Work closely with the Marketing and Sales Operations teams to enhance and optimize demand generation processes and automation
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and learning.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Excellent analytical skills, a high degree of business acumen, and an ability to understand, summarize and develop actionable insights from a high volume of marketing data.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication and interpersonal skills comfortable in presenting to various audiences (written presentations, live presentations).
  • Proven ability in handling concurrent projects with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Eager to learn new tools, platforms, and processes.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred.
  • 2 years of work experience in statistical or data analysis (or academic equivalent)
  • Experienced in developing and executing complex analysis projects that require working across teams and data sources to deliver actionable insights.
  • Experience in analytic and statistical techniques such as multivariate and A/B testing, digital revenue attribution, customer segmentation, and marketing effectiveness.
  • Experience building and automating management level reporting and dashboards.
  • Proficiency with Google suite required.  Key tools: Google Analytics (including GA4 experience), Google Tag Manager, Google Optimize, Data Studio.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel strongly preferred.
  • SQL and database experience is a plus.
  • Experience with visualization software (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau), marketing automation tools, and digital/website platforms (Adobe, SiteFinity) is a plus.
