Accountant (Finance)
About the role
PKL Services is seeking a professional and knowledgeable accountant that will be responsible for maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Maintain vendor master files and certificates of insurance. Process accounts payable invoices and prepare check runs. Prepare 1099s and reconciliations. Upload ACH files and process wires. Monitor accounts payable aging. Maintain customer files. Process accounts receivable cash receipts. Monitor accounts receivable ageing report. Maintain accounting OnBase filing systems. Perform bank reconciliations. Create and reconcile general ledger schedules. Prepare journal entries. Provide audit support as needed. Assist with business filing requirements. Maintain policies and procedures. Administer cellular account. Perform all other duties as directed by the Accounting Manager.
About you
Wed love to hear from you if you have:
High school diploma or equivalent. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Six plus (6+) years of experience in accounting. Strong mathematical and analytical skills Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing.
Preferred experiential background:
Experience working in a government contracting environment. Experience working with Deltek.

$28.85 hr. (annualized at $60,000). Hybrid work schedule 2 days in office, three work from home days.401(k) planThe company provides medical, dental, vision, basic life paid coverage for the employee. Work Environment / Physical Requirements:
Office environment Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key). The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
