Millwork Warehouse Receiving Specialist (Administrative)
Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Pack, unpack and store items to be stocked in an orderly and accessible manner for the warehouse, tool and supply rooms, storage yards and warehouses. Deliver or route items to departments using a power industrial truck and or drive a motor vehicle.Receive and count stock items and mark them. Record date manually or using computer and using ID tags, stamps, electronic marking tools, or other labeling.Determine proper storage methods, Identifications and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors and physical capabilities of facilities. Dispose of damaged or defective items or return to vendors.Verify inventory computations by physical counts and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors. Examine and inspect items for wear or defect, damages, shortages or nonconformance to specifications to supervisor. Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected.Confer with purchasing personnel and vendors regarding stock procurement and availability. Distribute work orders to departments and review them to determine materials requirements or material priorities.Perform other duties and responsibilities as required and assigned.
Education/Experience
High School Diploma or GEDPrevious experience with stockroom/warehouse environment with building materialsPrevious experience with operating powered industrial trucks. (Forklift, pallet jacks etc.)
Other Requirements
Must have a valid class O drivers licenseMust Pass pre-employment drug screen and physicalWork morning/evening hours during week and required weekends and overtimeMaintenance of regular attendance

Excellent Verbal & Written CommunicationBasic math & measurement skills.Comprehend and follow instructions communicated in written, oral and diagram formAbility to concentrate and attend to detail amidst busy work environmentAbility to work as an individual and as a team to meet productions goals.Willing to obtain other training if deemed necessary in performance of responsibilities and continuing education.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Work is in a warehouse setting and may performed within a production environment, subject to temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, increased noise levels and dust.Employee must have clear, close vision for reading and computer/scan work. Must be able to safely squat/bend/climb, lift/carry up to 80lbs, push/pull up to 70 lbs., grasp, talk, hear, standing/walking for prolonged periods. Job may require reaching at or above shoulder level and below waist.
